Business parks & industrial estates in Western Isles
Also known as the Outer Hebrides, the Western Isles are made up of a chain of islands in the Atlantic Ocean off the west coast of Scotland. The main islands include Lewis and Harris, with a population of 19,918, with shops to buy as well as other commercial shops or retail units. North Uist and Benbecula are smaller islands with populations of just over 1,000, although there are still openings for shops for lease or retail units to buy.
The administrative centre for the region is Stornoway, the largest town in the Western Isles, which contains the most opportunities to find commercial business property on the islands.
Settlements on the Western Isles are connected by the A867 which goes south through North Uist to Lochmaddy on Benbecula. The A865 connects to the west coast of Benbecula where the B893 continues north to Newtonferry. From here a ferry links to Leverburgh on the Isle of Harris from where the A859 winds its way north to Stornoway. The A858 connects the west coast of Lewis to Stornoway and the A857 connects this town with the north of the island. Ferry services regularly run between the islands and from the island to the Scottish mainland. These ensure that any commercial property in the Western isles has easy accesses to the other towns and islands as well as to mainland Scotland.
